Power Rangers Movie Gets Creative Team Courtesy of X-Men: First Class

July 15th, 2014 by Todd Black Comments

It was certainly shocking news when Saban and Lionsgate announced that they were going to make a new Power Rangers movie, based off of the original Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers series. But many fans were skeptical on how far this would go, or who would be attached to this film.

Today, we have one of those answers. As the writers and executive producers for the movie have been found via Alienbee. And they’re very familiar names.

Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz, most famously of X-Men First Class, are the writers for the new Power Rangers movie, while Robert Orci, of Transformers and Star Trek fame, is the executive producer.

Still no word on casting for the main roles, nor details on the story, which will no doubt be the most interesting part as no one is sure how close to the original series they’ll be.

In the meantime, stayed tuned to FTN for more Power Rangers news and updates, including reviews of Power Rangers Super Megaforce!
