So now that Solo: A Star Wars Story is out and many of us have seen it – although if the box office is to be believed now THAT many – we are wondering if that finale is setting up a Solo 2.
Although we have already discussed (here and here) where we think the series will go after this one, it has definitely got potential for a straight up sequel.
But would Ron Howard be up for directing? Yes, yes he would: “I would never say never, I just don’t know what’s going on at Imagine. And by the way, there’s no plan.”
He was quick to mae it clear a sequel isn’t being planned, wasn’t he? He knows how we fans can be!
He goes on: “So that wasn’t a step toward sequels. I love this cast. And I had so much fun in this sort of the filmmaking playground that is this universe. And so if the answer is I’d be very, very open to it. I have no idea, you know, whether they would, you know?”
Well, for the record, if Solo 2 happens, given our love for this one, we’d be well up for it.
