SDCC: Joe Hill reveals that there’s a Locke & Key trilogy in development!

July 26th, 2014 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

HUGE news from Joe Hill at SDCC. He announced that he and Gabriel Rodriguez’s hugely acclaimed series, Locke & Key, is slated to be a movie trilogy and  is in development over at Universal! I’ve made it absolutely no secret that Locke & Key is without question my all-time favorite series. (If you don’t believe me, take a look here.) If this actually comes about, I’ll be the first one in line to get tickets on opening night! It was pretty well known that Fox had made a pilot for a television series that they never aired, it seems that the Locke family will be taking their place where their story belongs…on the big screen! While the details of movies are vague, Hill also added that they have a script that they really like.

Locke & Key follows the (mis)adventures of the Locke family and their journey through their knew life in a place called Keyhouse. Armed with only a magical set of keys and their imaginations, it’s up to them to not only find peace, but save humanity.

How excited are you guys for this?! I for one will chalk this up as my most anticipated announcement from SDCC! (See the above picture, that’s totally me right now. Take my money already!!) Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
