Whenever Batman makes the scene in a new film or TV show what follows is the anticipation and fascination as to who will play his most famous adversaries.

When Christian Bale took up the helm in Nolan’s Trilogy, the casting for the main villains of Scarecrow, Joker, Catwoman and Bane were fantastic, yes I think Bane was a good casting choice. The late Heath Ledger’s Joker is still seen as one of the greatest movie villains ever.

So when the reboot happened and the new DC Universe became a reality it spurred up the anticipation once again as to who may play these infamous roles.

Suicide squad was filled with famous actors and actresses, from Will Smith as Deadshot to Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. There were some well known and not so well known villains, all of which seem to be the main antagonists of Batman.

There is one villain however who has not yet been cast.

Much like the Joker, Catwoman has always had a strange relationship with Batman and the Casting for Catwoman has had equally strange reactions. Let’s forget that moment the standalone Catwoman film came out with Halle Berry as the title character.

So when Erik Davis, managing editor at Fandango and Movie.com, managed to have a brief word with Sienna Miller things started to turn interesting.

The actress, who is appearing in the recent Ben Affleck film ‘Live By Night’, expressed her desire to play Catwoman. Miller is a very fine actress and has appeared in a wide range of films. However her roles are usually quite small or supporting and this means her fame is limited.

There has of course been no official confirmation by DC and we still have no idea if Miller will even be considered for the role.

It is also likely we may not find out who will play Catwoman for a while. Catwoman’s place in Ben Affleck’s solo Batman film is nonexistent since there is apparently no mention of Catwoman in the script at all. If Miller did manage to bag the role it is most likely to be in one of the many other films DC has planned.

DC next film is Wonder Woman, set for release on 2nd June 2017.
