Someone has edited Tyler Durden out of Fight Club

Unless you’ve been hiding at the bottom of the Marianas Trench for the last 17 years, you’ll know the true identity of Brad Pitt’s charismatic soap salesman Tyler Durden in Fight Club.

With that in mind (no pun intended), a particularly gifted lunatic by the name of Richard Trammell has gone through the movie and airbrushed out every appearance of Pitt on screen. I think this is one that qualifies as ‘sure, why not?’.

What’s surprising is just how dark the film is without Durden. There’s no wisecracks, no pithy comments or charisma: just Edward Norton muttering to his imaginary friend that the audience can’t see any more. Take a look at this excerpt:
