SERIOUSLY, ONLY READ THIS IF YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT LEARNING (POTENTIALLY) MASSIVE SPOILERS, GUYS!

Captain America: Civil War is set to be one of the biggest Marvel films when it arrives in cinemas next year, but we have just had the ending ruined for us!

The YouTube channel, That Hashtag Show, claims that they have been provided with information on Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War from a “source close to production.”

This is what they’ve had to say. Seriously, don’t read on if you want to avoid spoilers…

“The movie begins with a funeral scene and it ends with a funeral scene,” says That Hashtag Show. They then confirm that the opening funeral is for Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell). Photos and videos leaked out in May indicating that Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) would be attending Peggy’s funeral at some point in the film.

But wait, there’s another funeral for a major character in the movie…and it’s Cap himself! “During the film, Steve will make a deal with the government, stating that they are not to hunt down the people that allied with him in the Civil War. After Steve surrenders and is taken into custody he is killed.”

“Cap’s death is left a little ambiguous as to whether this was all planned out or not,” they add. Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) will be very upset at Steve’s funeral and the mood will be rather somber.

Even though Steve is dead, Captain America may not be. They say there is a scene in which three characters: Sharon, Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) and Falcon (Anthony Mackie) each pick up Cap’s shield. In the comics, the latter two have taken on Captain America’s mantle.

Who do you think will be the next Captain America? Let us know in the comment section below.
