It’s not unusual for a bit of movie merchandise to reveal a plot point before release, just as it’s not unusual for merchandise to be a total misdirect.
So what do you make of this?
For a long time many have suspected that Superman will return in Justice League and when he does he’ll be rocking the black suit from the comics (above).
And now a new (very cool) baseball cap from Superhero Stuff is black with the familiar silver S logo as seen in the comic panel.
And while that itself isn’t much to go on, the site posted a description of the cap which read:
Our Superman Black Armor Justice League 39 Thirty Fitted Hat is based on Superman’s costume post-death:
A black variation of the Superman suit adorned during his time in the regeneration matrix, a Kryptonian chamber that reversed the previously lethal effects of his protracted punch-em-up with Doomsday.
In the film Justice League, it seems Superman’s cinematic resurrection will parallel the hit comic story, considering he returns in a stylish black costume soon after a very tense fight with Doomsday.
Pretty revealing, huh?
