Star Wars is getting closer and closer with every passing day. It’s hard to believe that we’re only six months away from returning to a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.
Of course, with this imminent return, we must also expect the dark side of modern blockbusters to accompany it… bizarre promotional marketing.
This is nothing new to Star Wars. Ever since the release of A New Hope, all the way back in 1977, the Star Wars franchise has been releasing branded products of varying levels of quality. However, a strange piece of marketing for Episode VII, has shown us something unusual… Does C3-P0 have a red arm (check the image out below)?
Now, the important thing to remember is that The Force Awakens takes place 30 years after Return of the Jedi, so a number of things will have changed. We already know that Han has changed his traditional look and the millennium falcon has a new deflector dish. However, what could have happened to everyone’s favourite protocol droid?
Only time will tell, and not too much time at that, but one can assume that a lot has happened in the interim years between Return and Awakens. Here’s hoping that it can live up to the expectations.
