Remember we said Arrow actor Stephen Amell was using the Marvel movies as study material for a role in a franchise (here)? Well, we know what the franchise is now…
Variety are reporting that Amell has been cast as one of our favourite characters ever, Casey Jones in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, apparently filming under the working title of Half Shell.
The movie will once again feature Megan Fox as April O’Neill and Will Arnett with David Green on directing duties.
Jones was a vigilante who became friends with April and the Turtles in the original animated series and then again when Elias Koteas played him to great effect in the 1990 movie.
According to the report: “Amell tested with a half-dozen actors over the weekend, but it was his chemistry with Fox that led to the studio eventually giving the role to the star of CW’s Arrow.”
We love Amell here at FTN and we love the idea of this too…
