One of the big names in Science Fiction may soon be coming to theatres. When we hear Battlestar Galactica, it’s fair to say that most people know what you are on about. Whether it is the 1970s version or the 2000s version, the war between the Cylons and the humans is well known in the science fiction world.

Well now that Hollywood has got their hands on it they have decided to make a film adaptation, oh joy.  This latest adaptation of the sci-fi series has recently got itself a screenwriter: Lisa Joy, currently working on HBO’s Westworld, will be this main writer. In addition to this, Francis Lawrence the director of the final three Hunger Games movies, is pitched to direct the film.

It seems like the producers have finally found a pitch for the film that not only do they want but a famed director wants too.

Whether Lawrence will actually be the director is unknown. He is currently busy working with Jennifer Lawrence on the film Red Sparrow, so it won’t be able to even start until after that.

If Joy’s script is approved however, then it is likely someone will be found. It’s a good thing that Hollywood is trying desperately to bring back Battlestar Galactica, all I would ask if for them to do it properly.
