So, we’ve been reporting for ages that the Beetlejuice sequel is happening (here) but now Tim Burton gives an update but isn’t as confident the sequel is happening as he has been previously…
Doing the press tour for Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Tim Burton has given an update on the status of the Ghost with the most, em, 2: “[The] fact of it is I have talked to Michael [Keaton] and I have talked to Winona [Ryder], I’ve talked to a few people. It’s something that I really would like to do in the right circumstances, but it’s one of those films where it has to be right. It’s not a kind of a movie that cries out [for a sequel], it’s not the Beetlejuice trilogy.”
It’s good to know the movie is still in Burton’s mind, but reading between the lines we get the feeling that this could be one of those movies that is destined to not happen, despite everyone involved wanting it to.
What do think? Do we even need a Beetlejuice 2? We want to hear your thoughts, gang…
