Tom Hardy posts (then deletes) an image of Venom eating Spider-man…

May 4th, 2020 by Marc Comments

Ok, so we didn’t go too mental on the first one, but it’s impossible to ignore now… Tom Hardy is definitely hinting at a clash between Venom and Spider-man.

The star posted and quickly deleted a grim piece of art by digital artist Yadvender Singh Rana (@ultraraw26) which had Venom not just fighting, but actually devouring Spider-man… it’s actually pretty grim.

And intriguing.

Check it out:

This is interesting because we now know that Sony’s Marvel movies are now officially linked to Disney’s MCU via Spider-man, acting as a go between for the two studios.

The first time we had confirmation was when the Morbius trailer featured wanted posters for Spider-man (after the events of Far From Home) and then when Michael Keaton appeared as The Vulture (here) then there was rumours of further links between Sony and the MCU (here) but now it seems that Tom Hardy is really hinting that he an Tom Holland’s Spider-man will meet during Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

The art was shared on Sunday by Hardy on Instagram and then quickly deleted with the message “good tune [ultraraw26] 💯” .

Here’s Rana’s artwork original:

Hardy previously posted an image (below) of himself dressed as Spider-Man.

I can’t help but feeling that we’re going to see Venom and Spider-man lock horns on the cig screen again very soon and, honestly, having Venom in the MCU seems like a great idea to me…

Oh, he also posted and deleted this image – seems related, wouldn’t you say?

What say you all? Let me know your thoughts, gang.

Spider-Man 3 was moved from July 16th, 2021, to November 5th, 2021.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage was moved from October 2020 to June 25th, 2021.
