Surprisingly, ‘xXx’ (triple ex) 3 is set to start filming this December 10 years after xXx 2 came out according to Vin Diesel.
The original film starred Diesel as Xander Cage, an extreme sports enthusiast recruited by the Government to become a special agent. Diesel opted out of returning for the sequel which starred Ice Cube however, Diesel is set to return in the third film, reprising his role as Xander Cage.
However, his exact role in the film is unknown, especially with him seemingly dead in the second film, but it is likely he will be a main protagonist.
This follows on from the remarks of the director Rob Cohen who said in 2012 that the third movie would involve Cage facing a fraternal twin brother and sister up to no good.
The first xXxs were the stereotypical action films, poor story, weak acting but loads of explosions and fighting. The third is likely to be similar and just like its predecessors is likely to flop.
However, I will give it a chance given the recent blockbusters Diesel has starred in such as Fast and Furious 7 and Guardians of the Galaxy.
