Right. This is… unexpected.
With Shazam! coming next year and recent news that a Bluebeetle movie might be in the pipeline at DC/Warners, we never expected a… Plasticman movies!
But it looks like it’s being planned.
New The Mayor screenwriter Amanda Idoko will be on writing duties and the movie is set to be a comedy action/adventure for Warners/New Line, the same folk who are bringing us Shazam!
Plasticman is really Patrick “Eel” O’Brian in the comics, a former criminal who is a good guy after he was covered in toxic chemicals during a criminal adventure which, yup, now allows him to manipulate his body in any given way since it’s… plastic now.
Word is the will stick to the craziness of the comics, so it’s unclear just where or how he’ll fit into the DC Cinematic Universe but, given that he was once a member of the Justice League, we’d imagine it can be done.
