WATCH: Dan Aykroyd confirmed he’s back for Ghostbusters 3… and he’s ‘hopeful’ Bill Murray is back too

September 13th, 2019 by Marc Comments

On the most recent Joe Rogan Podcast (below) the legendary Dan Ackroyd sits down to chew the fat and after talking aliens, drugs and vodka he finally gets around to… Ghostbusters 3.

Now, the whole show is a great listen, but if you got to about 1:47 the new movie comes up. Now, Aykroyd says he still likes the reboots, once again saying ‘the ladies were great in that movie’ and adding that he should have been in the producer’s chair.

Then, he gets to the good stuff, revealing that “All” the original cast are back before correcting it to “most of”. He says that he himself is in it and when Rogan pushes him on the return of Bill Murray, Aykroyd smiles and says: “Well, we’re hopeful”.

Now, this is confirmation that Aykroyd himself is in the movie and, while it’s not confirmation, I think this is the first time Murray’s name has come up officially in connection to the movie.

And that’s all I have but now we have Weaver, Hudson and Aykroyd confirmed… that’ll do.

For now.
