February 8th, 2021 by Marc Comments

David Fincher, the man who brought us Fight Club, Seven and Zodiac, has returned to his roots and directed a new ad for this year’s Superbowl.. and we have it here for you.

The ad for Anheuser-Busch brewing company is scored by frequent Fincher collaborator Atticus Ross and is the company’s first-ever for the Superbowl.

The ad, while essentially about getting a beer, tackles the issue people have getting everyday things during this damned pandemic and gives Fincher a chance to flex his more tender muscles which he rarely uses in his movies as it’s quite a sweet tale.

Check it out below, guys…

When we say “Let’s grab a beer”, it’s never just about the beer. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
