WATCH: First mini-trailers arrive for Ghost In The Shell

For a movie that so many people are talking about, the Ghost In The Shell adaptation is managing to keep itself well shrouded in secrecy.

From out of nowhere today we have five mini trailers (we’ve embedded them in a playlist below) and, while they are brief, they show a movie that certainly seems determined to capture the feeling of its anime origins.

“GHOST IN THE SHELL”
IS IN PRODUCTION IN NEW ZEALAND

HOLLYWOOD, CA (April 14, 2016) – Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Pictures have announced that production is underway on “GHOST IN THE SHELL,” starring Scarlett Johansson (“AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON,” “LUCY”) and directed by Rupert Sanders (“SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN”). The film is shooting in Wellington, New Zealand.

Paramount Pictures will release the film in the U.S. on March 31, 2017.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer.
