WATCH: Trailer lands for Nicholas Cage Vs animatronic nightmares horror, Willy’s Wonderland…

January 16th, 2021 by Marc Comments

We finally have a trailer for Nicholas Cage’s latest insane (but likely quite brilliant) movie, Willy’s Wonderland.

The movie sees Cage playing a loner who accepts a one-off janitor’s job at Willy’s Wonderland, a restaurant where families go to enjoy good food and (terrifying) animatronic animals… which is a thinly veiled jab at a well known American restaurant chain.

The trailer is below and if you scroll beyond that you’ll find the absolutely bonkers character posters.

I’m getting serious From Dusk Til Dawn vibes from this trailer and that’s just fine by me!

Willy’s Wonderland releases February 12 worldwide

The Janitor (Cage) finds himself stranded in a remote town. Unable to pay the repair shop to fix his Jeep, he agrees to work off his debt by spending the night cleaning Willy’s Wonderland, an abandoned theme park full of animatronic characters that were once a beacon of fun for children to play with.

“But Willy’s Wonderland carries a dark secret that The Janitor is about to discover. He’s been lured into a deadly trap, or rather, a living nightmare, as the Wonderland’s animatronic characters come to life to destroy him. The Janitor is forced to fight his way from one monster to another, trying to survive until morning.

“And The Janitor doesn’t play nice.

“Party of Five” star Emily Tosta plays the rebellious teenage lead in the movie from director Kevin Lewis (The Drop), which also stars Beth Grant (No Country For Old Men), Ric Reitz (The Resident) and Chris Warner (Machete). The screenplay was written by G.O. Parsons.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
