Well, it’s confirmed, the rest of Zack Snyder’s Justice League cast are gone at DC/Warners

For some time now, it’s been a topic of debate and, shockingly, controversy, but it seems we now know for sure that the Justice League, as established by Zack Snyder in 2016’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is no more.

In the latest issue of Variety, it’s confirmed that, while we knew Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill were gone and Batman and Superman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman is no more and she joins Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, Ezra Miller’s Flash and Ray Fisher’s Cyborg.

Up until this point, there was some question over Momoa, Gadot and Miller but it seems that there’s no longer any question.

“None of the stars cast by Zack Snyder for 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and 2017’s Justice League — including Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller and Momoa — will reprise their roles in the new DC universe in character,” reads the trade’s report.

Look with James Gunn and Peter Safran having taken over the reins at Warners/DC, we figured this would be the case – even if the cast of Gunn’s The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker all seem safe – but now we know if for sure.

Is this really a shock to you guys? Were you hoping to see any/all Snyder’s Justice League back? Let me know all your thoughts, gang.

Personally, I was hoping we’d see Cavill, Affleck and Gadot again but that dream is dead and gone now but, look, I’m sad for that but I’m not sad to see what Gunn and Safran have in mind for the DCEU, I’m excited to see what’s coming and I love the plan to have movies, TV shows, animated movies and shows and games all existing in the same reality without being entirely reliant on each other.

Thoughts? I know you have them! Voice-off in the usual ways on FTN’s FacebookTwitter and Instagram

Word is Gal Gadot will be returning as Wonder Woman in Gunn and Safran’s DCU
