With the world still in shock after the death of David Bowie, this really feels like a bolt from the blue.
And we aren’t sure is it’s insulting to his memory or not. But we think it is. We’re confused.
Any way, details are sketchy at the minute but it seems that Jim Henson’s 1986 cult classic Labyrinth is getting a reboot.
The Jim Henson Co and Tristar have agreed to produce a new take on the movie, which will be written by Guardians of the Galaxy co-writer Nicole Perlman.
In the original movie Bowie starred as the Goblin King who kidnapped a baby and took it to a magical Labyrinth where the older sister, played by Jennifer Connelly, had to come and rescue him.
It’s not clear right now if the movie is a reboot or a sequel but either way… the Goblin King is coming back.
But it’s not going to be Bowie and we’re not sure we’re ok with that.
