Ok, this is a RUMOR…and nothing else at the moment, but given his mega geek cred at the moment? We wouldn’t be surprised if this was true.
Rumors are spreading that the one and only Joss Whedon is a “lock” for Star Wars Episode IX. Which is the final film in the newest Star Wars trilogy.
Until this is confirmed, by either Disney or Lucasfilm, it should be taken with a mega grain of salt. Recall that after Age of Ultron, Whedon said he didn’t want to do another big project for a while. That’s exactly what Episode IX would be. Not saying it can’t happen…but be prepared for this rumor to possibly be snuffed out.
