Universal has revealed that a live-action movie adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked is coming in 2019.
The musical play focuses on the two witches from Wizard of Oz, and how they came to be before the legendary movie aired. Though it debuted in 2004, the show has showed no signs of stopping, and currently continues to gross 1.5 million dollars a week, along with continuing to gain fans with each performance.
The acclaimed Broadway show even got 10 Tony nominations, with one of the lead actresses even getting the gold.
