Zack Synder implies the dead Robin in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice isn’t Jason Todd

April 8th, 2018 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder has recently attempted to break the hearts of literally dozens of internet-based movie conspiracy theorists by saying that the Robin costume featured in the movie may not Belong to Jason Todd after all.

The movie featured a blink and you will miss it shot of a Robin suit the we were all lead to believe belonged to the doomed Robin, Jason Todd, after his demise at the hands of The Joker.  It now appears that Snyder has suggested the costume may not have been Todd’s at all in a response to a fans question on his official Vero account

In other Batnews the rumours that Matt Reeves’ standalone Batman film would follow Bruce Wayne dealing with the loss of Jason Todd (here) were debunked, with a source at Warners simply saying this news was “False”.

Pity… we’d love to have seen that chapter and it certainly would have added fuel to the rumours that Jake Gyllenhal will be playing the younger Bruce Wayne/Batman.

As a side note, a Twitter user posted the image below and it’s interesting as it shows a gravestone from the nightmare scene at the beginning of Batman V Superman which features the name of Richard Grayson… that’s Dick Grayson AKA Robin/Nightwing. Now, the fact that it was from a dream scene means it’s not exactly proof… but wouldn’t it make sense that the loss of his best friend would feature in a nightmare? Yeah, we thought so too.
