May 4th, 2013 by Marc Comments

It’s that one day of the year when fans truly get to rejoice in their nerdiness…

Yes, it’s the Following the Nerd and The Empire Talks Back Star Wars May the Fourth special, Hosted by Marc with Saxon and Chris, it’s packed with news, banter and some of the coolest Star Wars guests on this planet or any other… oh, and it’s an extra long episode too, so relax and enjoy as we chat to…

Stephen Stanton the voice of Tarkin, Marlo Eval and Col Meebor Gascon… he’s Star Wars royalty and a good friend of the show and it’s always a pleasure to talk with him…

Consetta Parker, the lady that looks after a small thing you may have heard of called Rancho Obi-Wan as well as being the agent of Mr James Arnold Taylor…

Randy Martinez a man who has had the honour of drawing Star Wars for the last 15 years as well as working for Topps and DC, an all-round cool guy…

And last, but certainly not least, we chat to Jeffrey Brown, the writer and artist of the far too cute Vader and Son, the upcoming Vader’s Little Princess and the in-universe Jedi Academy.

We talk about Star Wars, Clones Wars and why it’s so important to us all… and you

As well as that we get into the usual selection of news and reviews and chat to the Bald Gamer Dude, Alan and the Monday Movie Show’s Stuart… excited? You will be….

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
