Charity 40k Tournament.

April 6th, 2014 by Mad Dave Comments

Ok folks Maddave ere with a bit of a shout out for some friends over the water in Michigan.

The Cereal Gamers 40k gaming club are organising a fund raising event for the local food bank, below is the event details and a link to the event on facebook.

Ok everyone, on June 14th we will be hosting an 1850 points 40k tourney at Burdettes for the food bank. The entry fee will be a $10 Meijer food bank gift card. They can be found on a display behind the check lanes which say food bank gift cards. Now their will be a twist for this tourney. For every $5 worth of non perishable food items you bring in you will receive a free dice re-roll token which can be used for any dice roll in your games.

The Tournament will be 1850 points and the following rules additions are allowed, escalation, stronghold, and forgeworld are allowed. BUT! You must bring the rules for whatever you use. The use of digital devices is fine but if it fails you will need a hard copy for it or it will be disqualified.

I recommend a hard copy of all forgeworld stuff used.
Doors open at 9am, dice rolling at 10.
Please tell everyone you know about this and RSVP as soon as possible. If we get a good turn out I will be calling channel 3 news and hopefully they will come out.

So if your going to be in the area on the 14th why not stick your name down and have a fun day of gaming and help do something good at the same time.

I'm Mad Dave one of the team's growing collection of tabletop gaming nerds. I was raised on a healthy diet of TV like Blake 7, Doctor Who and Star Trek with a side of sword and sorcery / sc-fi movies and a large dollop of board games like Cluedo, RISK and Hero Quest. You know your a gaming nerd if: You bring toy soldiers to work? You bring toy soldiers to work and you work has nothing to do with toy soldiers? Most of you jackets / coats have dice in one of the pockets? You hate throwing away packaging because you know it's actually a ruined building or field generator? You have a collection of old packaging? You can find something relevant to your hobby i.e. books, magazines, figures etc in almost every room in your house? I no I'm a nerd because I've done all of the above, how many of these made you smile and nod yes to?
