First up Regionals news: The right to hold one of the annual tournaments to win a place in the World Championships were competed for by many stores globally, while apparently there won’t be a regional held in the South, Replay Games in Bangor Co. Down have snagged one! It will take place on Saturday May 17th. Keep an eye or their Facebook page for more details.
Fear and Loathing (below), the fifth set in the Spin Cycle series, finally hit the shelves, a great set with many possibilities though Wraparound caused some confusion, basically it has +7 strength as long as the Runner doesn’t have a Fracter in play. A fracter is usually a Barrier Breaker like Corroder, it’s a bit of a gamble but still a good card.
FFG have put up a bio of current World Champion Jens Erickson and much more importantly his world title winning deck listing. He played an Andromeda and a HB Fast Advance deck brilliantly.
The FFG Netrunner Store Championships were held in The Gathering, Limerick and the eventual winner was Dave Russel who beat Netrunner Ireland admin Mike Shile in a tight battle, there’s a write up of the proceeding on their site up.
