Did new LEGO MCU toyline just reveal that Wolverine’s coming to Disney+?

LEGO have revealed their newest selection of Minifigs and, we must say, it’s a cracking collection… but it also seems to hold a secret.

The new figs (above) are based on the Disney+ shows, primarily WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and the upcoming What If…? and it has some cracking figures (the Sylvie and Captain Carter figures are must haves and so is Loki with his wee cup).

Here’s the official info:

Action lovers young and old can collect, display or add cool character minifigures into their current playsets from Marvel Studios Original series WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and What If…?, featuring The Scarlet Witch, The Vision, Monica Rambeau, Winter Soldier, Captain America, Loki, Sylvie, T’Challa Star-Lord, Captain Carter, Gamora with the Blade of Thanos, Zombie Hunter Spidey and Zombie Captain America.

However, they also revealed the packaging for the figures (blind bags again, grrrrrrrrrr) and on there is a surprise appearance of a character we’ve wanted to see in the MCU for a number of years:

Yes, top right, that is clearly Logan/Wolverine in the artwork.

Now, I know, Marvel owns all the X-Men characters now and there is a LEGO Wolverine figure, but the detail that has our attention is the fact that the collection is clearly marked Marvel Studios and that is strictly MCU only.

Now, my guess is we’ll see Wolverine in What If…? meaning that Marvel can satiate the fans and still have time to cast an actor and work out how and when to bring him into the live-action universe.

And look, it’s not as if we’ve not speculated in the past how Logan could join the MCU (here) and even if Hugh Jackman may return for the Multiverse storyline (here).

Though it is strange that this appeared shortly after Jackman seemingly teased something Wolverine/MCU-related recently (here).

Look, sure, it could be nothing… but I like to hope that maybe, just maybe, we’re set to see those claws score across the MCU sooner rather than later.

Thought?

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
