We’re warning you now, we have several DC/CW stories coming over the next couple of hours… but it’s all good stuff.

So, on with the first one.

Earlier we revealed that CW Seed would be doing a new in-universe character, The Ray (here) and he would be the first gay superhero lead character.

Well now it seems The Ray isn’t the only gay character in The CW DC TV Universe. EW report that during this year’s Television Critics Association event executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said: “One of the characters on one of the shows is going to be exploring their sexuality and coming out. We’re very excited about that.”

Exec producer Greg Berlanti added: “It is a significant character. The only reason we wouldn’t [say] is we really want the audience to enjoy the character developments and not necessarily be ahead of the storyline.”

Other exec producer Sarah Schechter added: “It’s a man or a woman, and it’s on one of the four shows.”

It’s worth noting that The CW DC has a number of LGBT characters, including Curtis Holt, Nyssa al Ghul and Sara Lance.

So who do you think might be gay in the Arrowverse? Let us know your thoughts, guys…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
