HBO confirms season 3, but there will not be a 4.
HBO has confirmed actor Jeff Daniels’ previous announcement some time ago that drama The Newsroom will return for a third season, but has also confirmed that it will be the final season of the show. It’s expected that all of the main cast members will return for the final season.
No date was confirmed for when new episodes will air, but it’s expected to be towards the end of 2014. Filming has yet to begin on the season.
