Atwell close to signing on Agent Peggy Carter series with Marvel?

January 3rd, 2014 by Marc Comments

We all thought the Agent Peggy Carter series was a cert a while back but when Marvel’s deal with Netflix announced it would include Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones, as well as a Defenders miniseries, we figured it wasn’t going to happen.

However, now the Daily Mirror are reporting that the series is going ahead and that actress Hayley Atwell, pictured above, who played Peggy in the first Captain America movie, is all but signed on.

Personally speaking, I’m not sure a Carter series will work, but it looks like the short one-shot that features on the Iron Man 3 home release isn’t the last we’ll see of the character – well, outside of seeing her as an old woman in the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

What do you guys reckon? Do you want a Carter series? Is there other characters you’d like to see realised sooner – cough Punisher cough -or do you think it’s a plain bad idea? Let us know…

Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits theaters April 4th, 2014.
