DC Universe’s Stargirl series will air on the streaming service AND The CW

A few months ago we had a report that Stargirl would not, as planned, be heading to the DC Universe streaming service, but would rather be jumping to The CW and joining the Arrowverse.

It seems  that, while not true, there is some truth to be gleaned here.

It seems that the series will in fact steam as Titans, Doom Patrol and Swamp Thing did on DC Universe but the next day will air on The CW.

The show will not be part of the Arrowverse in the same way Legends of Tomorrow, Flash, Arrow, Black Lightning and Supergirl are but will definitely have some sort of connection.

Now the character of Stargirl has previously been on Legends of Tomorrow but was a different version of her that the DC Universe one played by Brec Bassinger and, given how the Arrowverse is steeped in the lore of multiverses, this won’t be a problem for the story. However… we’re hearing that this Stargirl will be introduced in the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths event which will then lead into her own series which is expected to arrive early next year.

So she’s not part of the Arrowverse. Except she kinda is.

Got it.
