‘Deadshot will not be returning to Arrow,’ says showrunner…

Well this sucks.

Remember last season in Arrow we got a tantalising glimpse of Harley Quinn, only to find out she’d not be back because the character is in the Suicide Squad movie?

Well, it seems the same thing is going to happen to Michael Rowe’s Deadshot character.

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim, responding to a comment online which was congratulating him on the casting and and asking if Lyla and Deadshot would ever be series regulars, dropped this bombshell:

“First, thanks for the kind words. I agree with you, our casting people — in Los Angeles and Vancouver — are the best. Unfortunately, Deadshot is off the table for the nonce.”

This won’t go down well with the fans – while Harley appeared for a few seconds, Deadshot has been firmly established in the show and is, frankly, one of the best parts of the Suicide Squad.

While the speculation is that Deadshot is gone because of the movie, we don’t know for sure, but really can’t think of another reason…

So does this mean Floyd Lawton died in the Suicidal Tendencies episode? Well, for now, it seems this may be the case…

Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
