Every ending has a beginning: Stranger Things writers reveal season 5 work has started

August 2nd, 2022 by Marc Comments

Well, we’re all still buzzing after THAT finale of Stranger Things season 4 and in the office we’re constantly pondering the fate of Eddie, Max and so much more and now, while it’s still a long ways away, we know that season 5 is underway.

The official Stranger Things Writers social media account has up out an update declaring them back to work and starting to wrap it all up for one last season in Hawkins:

We have nothing else to add but we know that, with creators, the Duffer brothers, saying recently that there will be a time jump for the last season, mostly to allow the young cast to act their actual age, and reports being it could be 2024 before we see it, it could be a long wait ahead.

But it’s Stranger Things, the wait will be worth it. We hope.

It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.

It’s time. See you on the other side. Stranger Things 4 Vol. 2 premieres July 1st, only on Netflix.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
