After the confirmation that The Mandalorian season 2 will be airing at the end of 2020 (here) we here at FTN have been gleaning news anywhere we can find it.
I speculated that Darth Maul may be lined up for season 2 in the post above and now Deadline have revealed that “Insiders have hinted that several established characters from the Skywalker saga’s feature films mythology will make appearances during the show’s sophomore season.”
Now, this is interesting given the Darth Maul speculation but also because one of our guys here at FTN has speculated that he believes The Child (Baby Yoda) may not be destined for his home planet but rather the Jedi Academy run by Luke Skywalker (this also ties into he rumour that a Jedi Academy animated series my be in the works – see the link above again). After all, we know that sometime after Return of the Jedi Luke created a Jedi Academy which ultimately fell apart with the creation of Kylo Ren but what we don’t know is what happened in between Jedi and The Force Awakens,
