Remember the story a few days back that Hayley Atwell would be in Agents of SHIELD Season 2 premiere as Agent Peggy Carter (here)? And we weren’t sure if she’d be old ala The Winter Soldier or young ala The First Avenger? Well, now we know…
TVGuide has published the above picture and put to bed any questions we had about which period of the story we’d see 1940s Peggy in but what we didn’t expect was to see was Howling Commandos Kenneth Choi and Neal McDonough, playing their Captain America characters Jim Morita and Dum Dum Dugan. How Cool is that?!
“Coulson is a big student of history and wants to return to those old ideals of Agent Carter’s time,” says executive producer Jed Whedon. “He’s, like, ‘Let’s be the S.H.I.E.L.D. we were meant to be!’ He wants to do the job right this time.”
Atwell will of course be appearing in the Agent Carter TV series early next year and we’d say this is a tasty bit of foreshadowing that we can expect to see the Commandos there too. Excited? We are now!
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns Tuesday, Sept. 23.
