First look at Iman Vellani as Captain Marvel in the Disney+ series

Looks like we have our first look at Kamala Khan, actress Iman Vellani, thanks to a new image from the set of the now filming Disney+ MsMarvel series.

And she seems to be wearing a very familiar outfit in the shape of Captain Marvel’s suit or one pretty similar. I’d also go out on a limb and say that’s Maria Rambeau’s home in the background.

More big casting news for the MCU tonight as it seems that one of the most ‘eyes on’ roles have been cast.

We’ve known for a while that Disney+ was set to bring us a Ms Marvel series with Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Meera Menon  directing the series and now we have the name to go with the series with newcomer Vellani starring as Kamala Khan, “a Pakistani-American teen based in New Jersey. Ms. Marvel first appeared in 2014 as Marvel’s first Muslim character to star in her own title, and she will become Marvel Studios’ first onscreen Muslim hero. Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has said that in addition to appearing on the small screen, Kamala Khan will be included in future Marvel films.”

Ms Marvel joins Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, She-Hulk, Moon Knight and Nick Fury in the much anticipated small screen presence of the MCU.
