Images leak from Marvel’s What If…? animated series and we have Marvel Zombies!

So, a few images have leaked from Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ What If…? series.

The series will take certain events from the MCU and ask ‘What If’ things happened differently? And the new animated series looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun and, honestly, out of all the MCU shows coming to Disney+ this is the one I’m most excited for.

Jeffrey Wright narrates the series as The Watcher, overseeing events within the MCU and the series has a massive cast from the already established MCU, including Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Josh Brolin, Hayley Atwell, Chadwick Boseman, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Natalie Portman, Michael Douglas, Dominic Cooper, Karen Gillan, Michael B. Jordan, Sebastian Stan, Michael Rooker and Tom Hiddleston.

The series is set in the MCU’s Phase 4 and will air in 2021.

So, what do the images reveal?

Well, here’s the images we have so far:

Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter will get the super-serum in the series, becoming Captain Britain. She will be joined by the Howling Commandos and at some point, Stever Rogers (Chris Evans) – who will not get the serum – will stay as skinny Steve as he was when we first met him in the MCU but it looks like he also gets the Iron Man suit. Check out the images below.

Next up, we have:

T’Challa, played by Chadwick Boseman, above and below, will become Starlord in the series, so we’ll presumably get a very different take on the Guardians of the Galaxy… should be interesting to see how he ends up in the star rather than Peter Quill.

And finally:

This is the biggest one of them all… Marvel Zombies. In the comics the Marvel heroes become zombies and it looks like Steve Rogers, above, will be one for sure and one of the survivors will be the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) who looks pretty upset at what has happened his best friend.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
