Is there a Captain Carter series or movie in the works?

May 17th, 2022 by Marc Comments

Great news for fans of the MCU’s Peggy Carter as her multiverse alter-ego, Captain Carter, the [alternate] First Avenger, is looking like she might be getting her own series or movie.

Introduced in the What If…? animated series, Captain Cater was what happened when Peggy Carter, voiced here by Haley Atwell who also played her in the movies and Agent Carter TV series, ended up getting the super serum instead of Steve Rogers, making her, as the title suggests, the first Avenger.

In What If…? this version of Carter ended up leading a team called the Multiverse Avengers in a multiversal battle that risked all of reality. Most recently, we saw Atwell playing Captain Carter in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, where she made a big, if brief, impact.

She’s a character that many fans want to see more of and now we may actually be getting just that,

On the latest episode of The DisInsider Show, below, Derek Cornell revealed that may be seeing her back in a big, live-action way: “Hot off of Doctor Strange 2 and What If…?, we are hearing not for sure if it’s a series, but we’re hearing a Captain Carter live-action series,” he says.

“Series or movie, something is in the works, live-action will be coming.”

It would make sense given that she was the only character introduced in The Illuminati scene of Earth-813 in Multiverse of Madness who didn’t already exist in live-action in some movie or show already and there’s probably millions of other Captain Carters out there waiting to be met… and no, we don’t think the two Captain Carters we met so far are the same perseon.

Thoughts? Let’s have them…

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
