This is one of these projects that sounds good on paper – erm, monitors – but we fear that, in reality, it may be lacking…
Evolution star Olrando Jones (left) and Dexter’s Katia Winter (below) have joined the cast of the MadTV’s modern-day spin on the legend of Sleepy Hollow.
Evolution is one of my favourite movies – I make no apologies – and in this he’ll play Lt. Frank Williams, a detective sent to Sleepy Hollow tosolve a series of mysterious murders. Katia Winter, who made her TV debut in the last season of Dexter will play Ichabod rane’s wife and a nurse in the town.
The official synopsis for the show reads: Ichabod is described as a captain in the Revolutionary War who has been to hell and back. The former history professor finds himself catapulted to present day Sleepy Hollow, where he’s indicted for the murder of a police officer and forced to prove not only his innocence but make a wary detective believe he’s a traveler from the 18th century.
But before you shrug your shoulders in a ‘meh’ fashion, check out the talent behind the cameras – Fringe writers Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci are writing the pilot and Len Wiseman will direct… we’re curiously optimistic now…
