It looks like we’re heading back to Westeros not long after we left it last time… with a very familiar face.
Yes, he may know nothing, but Jon Snow is returning for more of the Game of Thrones.
Kit Harington is reportedly signed on for a live-action sequel to the hit fantasy series which, while nothing is really known about it at the moment, will likely focus on the fact that late in the series Snow learned his real name was Aegon Targaryen and he was an heir to the Iron Throne.
Harington played Jon Snow for eight seasons on Game of Thrones and became one of the fan favorites of the series, and while his return will likely be a welcome one among fans, I’m not sure what he has left to do in the story.
New Game of Thrones series gets first trailer
With this, the prequel series, House of the Dragon, hitting in August and numerous live-action and animated series and spin-offs happening, it’s clear that HBO are looking to make this their MCU or Star Wars… if we don’t get Peter Dinklage back as Tyrion Lannister, we’re likely to riot. Or, well, bitch about it online a bit and get into debates on Twitter that we wish we were never stupid enough to reply to… the usual.
With several over live-action and animated series in the works (details here), it seems we have much still to learn… much like Jon Snow himself.
