It’s with no surprise at the weekend with Comic-con taking place in San Diego that DC unveiled huge news regarding their popular Legends of Tomorrow TV show on the CW. It appears, carrying on from its first season’s cliffhanger that the JSA will be joining the show and not only that but one of DC’s biggest super villain teams will also be appearing, namely the Legion of Doom!

Announced at the show’s Comic-Con International: San Diego panel, Producers took the opportunity to drop those nuggets as well as reveal the line-ups!

The Justice Society will be comprised of Hourman (Patrick J. Adams) who debuted at the end of last season, Vixen (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) recast from her appearance on Arrow, Citizen Steel (Nick Zano), Obsidian, Stargirl, and Dr. Mid-Nite. The three latter characters have yet to be cast.

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim had this to say about the debut of the Legion of Doom –

“For season two of Legends, we decided that the perfect antagonist for TV’s first-ever team of Super Heroes would be TV’s first-ever team of Super-Villains, recruited from the ranks of Arrow and The Flash’s deadliest adversaries. Being huge fans of the Challenge of the Superfriends, we’ve come to call this group our ‘Legion of Doom.’”

As Guggenheim said, the Legion of Doom will be made up of previous Arrow and Flash villains and will consist of Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher), Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), and Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman).

Excited yet?! DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will begin its second season October 13 on the CW.
