Looks like three supposedly gone characters are returning to the Arrowverse next season

April 18th, 2018 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

Did you shed a tear when Vixen buggered off back to her village and Rip Hunter sacrificed himself to defeat Mallus at the end of the last series of Legends?

Well dry those eyes and sniff up your snot people as the showrunner has said their exits may not be permanent.

The events of the finale, which was disappointing when compared to the rest of the series which was possibly the strongest so far, has left the nerdsphere speculating will these fan favourites return for season three.

Producer and showrunner Marc Guggenheimvhad this to say about Vixen’s return: “Yes, Maisie will absolutely be back, We just felt like we owed it to the character to complete this arc, complete this story loop that we got her in. Once we took her off of her path in 1942, it was always incumbent upon us to return her to that path.

“That was something that hung over us as writers, and hung over the character… I’m looking forward to a different storyline for Amaya next year. We’ll reveal our plans for Maisie’s character at Comic-Con this year.”

And when asked about Rip Hunter fate, Guggenheim said: “We love Arthur, we love having Arthur on the show, and I think Arthur enjoys being on the show, because it’s a time travel show, and because we never saw a body, anything is possible. I think Arthur is totally willing to come back and play with us if we have a cool idea”

Looks like we can look forward to seeing both these favourites again in season four.

In related news, Arrow’s Colton Hayes is returning to Arrow as Roy Harper AKA Arsenal

Hayes recently appeared in a few recent episodes of Arrow in a storyline revolving around Thea Queen played by Willa Holland departure but is now back with a two year contract.

“We’re very fortunate and excited to welcome back Colton to Arrow,” said the show’s executive producers in a joint statement.

“While we’ve always enjoyed Colton’s returns to the show, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him return as a proper series regular and we’re very excited about all the creative opportunities Roy Harper’s return affords us.”

Haynes adds: “I could not be happier to return to my role as Roy Harper alongside my Arrow family.”
