While The Clone Wars has ended and Anakin Skywalker’s fall to the Dark Side is complete, it seems we have not yet seen the end of the chosen one.
While we’re excited as heck for Hayden Christensen’s return in Disney+’s Obi-Wan Kenobi series, we have double dose of Anakin goodness to be excited for as Clone Wars voice actor Matt Lanter has revealed that he too is returning to the role.
The actor said of the role: “I never quite put Anakin down, whether I’m doing a video game or something new for Lucasfilm Animation.”
Which is, of course, cool, but he, even more excitingly, said: “There’s some new Lucasfilm Animation going on. I’ve been a part of some things I can’t talk about yet. You’ll see Anakin again.”
Now, what this will be exactly is unclear but we’d have to imagine that it very well could be the new animated Star Wars series The Bad Batch which is a sequel of sorts to The Clone Wars. Could we see Anakin return in a flashback perhaps?
Or could there be a series we know nothing about on the way? Wouldn’t that be exciting?
If and when we hear more you will, as always, be first to know.
Are you excited at the prospect of more Anakin Skywalker? Let me know your thoughts…
