New information has been released on Netflix’s new marvel series Luke Cage. Mahershala Ali, a Netflix regular appearing in House of Cards as Remy Danton, is set to play Cottonmouth in this new series.
Here is a brief description of Cottonmouth from the article: “According to the Marvel wiki, in the comics, not much is known about Cottonmouth’s history except that he established himself as a drug lord in New York… his trademark being, what else, his employ of those deadly cottonmouth snakes.”
In the series “Cottonmouth will be a Harlem nightclub owner, who will become an unexpected foe in Cage’s life when his criminal activities threaten Luke’s world.”
Ali joins a cast of Mike Colter as Luke cage, Alfre Woodard as Minetta, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Theo Rossi as Alvarez and also Rosario Dawson reprising her Daredevil role as Clair Temple.
Before the premier Cage will make his debut in Jessica Jones, set for release in November this year.
No official date has been released yet but Luke Cage is set for a 2016 release.
