With the Halo TV series now having its main cast sorted its starting to get into full swing over at Showcase.
Showtime have announced that Natascha McElhone, most well known for her role in Californication is set to play Dr Catherine Halsey as well as the most advanced AI in history, Cortana.
She is set to join an all-star cast with Pablo Schreiber (American Gods & Orange is the New Black) as the one and only Master Chief and Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo) taking on the role of Soren-666.
Natascha’s character Dr Halsey is an extreme scientist who created the SPARTAN-II program which in turn created Master Chief, she became rather protective of her creations and once discovered she was arrested after trying to hide them from the military so that they wouldn’t die in battle, but before this happens she clones her brain using it to create an artificial intelligence named Cortana.
Also bringing in actors such as Bently Kalu from Avengers: Age of Ultron and Natasha Culzac who will be in the Netflix adaption of The Witcher will give this a much grander feel as you’re getting people who are used to working on something of this scale.
Set to debut in 2021 we still have a few years to wait yet, however this is starting to shape up to be a group of Spartans that the Covenant should be worried about.
