New poster appear for The Boys Season 2 – and it’s totally in bad taste

June 1st, 2020 by Marc Comments

Amazon Prime has revealed a new poster for the upcoming The Boys season 2.

The poster (at the bottom of the page) has the titular boys in front of a poster of The Seven – a team of less than likeable superheroes – and, in typical fashion, they’re giving us all the finger.

The poster had a caption that read: “That’s it.”

The Boys was a surprise smash hit for amazon last year with its perfect blend of humour, gore and action and the second season promises to deliver more on every front.

The Boys stars Karl Urban (Star Trek) as Billy Butcher, the ringleader of the vigilantes who risk it all to go against a group of all-powerful characters, with Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, as well as Jennifer Esposito as CIA agent Susan L. Rayner, and Karen Fukuhara as the Female. Elisabeth Shue co-stars in the series together with Erin Moriarty, Antony Starr, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, and Nathan Mitchell.

The series was created by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, the team responsible for another subversive comic book-inspired series in AMC’s Preacher, together with Supernatural creator Eric Kripke.

The Boys season 2 will hit Amazon Prime this summer.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
