Game of Thrones. Oh, Game of Thrones. With the character of Bran having reached his goal at the end of season four (for now) it looks like he and his carers Hodor and Ellie Kendrick (Meera Reed) are out this season… but certainly not for good.
WinterIsComing is reporting that a lot of “characters are completely left out of Book Four of A Song of Ice and Fire. It’s the main reason why next season is a weaving together of Books Four and Five. Because the characters who are left out are characters you can’t leave out.”
They are reporting that Kristian Nairn, who plays Hodor, has said that he is not in season five at all and is getting a break from filming: “We have a season off and we have a year’s hiatus, solely because I imagine our storyline is up to the end of the books,” he said of himself and Isaac Hempstead Wright who plays Brandon.
Presumably – and I haven’t read the books myself – this means the characters have little to do until events progress to the end of next season when they’ll be reintroduced?
Let us know your thoughts folks…
Hodor Hodor! Hordor! Hodor! Hodor Hodor! Hordor! Hodor! Hodor Hodor! Hordor! Hodor! Hodor Hodor! Hordor! Hodor!
