Olan Rogers announces Final Space graphic novel to give fans the ending they deserve

April 24th, 2023 by Marc Comments

Great news for Final Space fans as creator Olan Rogers has just revealed that Warner Bros Discovery have given him the go-ahead to wrap up his epic sci-fi odyssey, Final Space.

The animated series followed the adventures of Gary Goodspeed and his alien friend Mooncake, two unlikely heroes tasked with saving the entire universe! Many universes! All of reality! Look, I said it’s epic, ok?

Now, Final Space ran for three seasons and was a wonderful mix of comedy, drama, and sci-fi hijinks that was heading towards an epic finale before it as canceled prematurely, leaving the story unfinished, the fans gutted and Rogers himself broken.

Now, however, he will get the chance to finish his story but not in the way you’d think.

In the video below, Rogers reveals that he has been given the license to finish Final Space, wrap up all the storylines and give the fans what they want… in the form of a graphic novel.

Rogers believes the book will be at least 500 pages, which probably explains the hefty price of $125 – I live in the Uk and it’s gonna cost £148! So, as much as I want this, I’m really wrestling with the price tag – and it’s up for preorder now.

That’s a big chuck of change and I really hope it gets the numbers he needs to make it happen but I can see fans baulking at that price in the current financial climate… I just hope it doesnt’ rerails Goodspeed’s story being finished for all us fans.

In the midst of working off a prison sentence, an astronaut named Gary meets mysterious, planet-destroying alien Mooncake, with whom he immediately bonds. But Gary doesn’t realize that his new sidekick is actually in demand by the sinister Lord Commander, who will do all he can to secure Mooncake’s untapped evil powers. This animated intergalactic comedy follows Gary and Mooncake’s adventures to unlock the mystery of “Final Space,” where the universe ends.
