The Falcon and Winter Soldier series with Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan has finally started filming for Disney+.
Now, of course, with every Marvel movie (and now series) we get rumors, so today we’re going to go through some of out favorites and ones that we think could happen in this anticipated team-up series.
Firstly, we’re hearing news of a massive viral threat in the series of some kind – this one could have a sliver of truth in it as viruses are a quite common thing in Marvel, also we’ve already seen one of them in Iron Man 3 with Extremis.
Another possibility could be the Ultron virus – now,I like this one because we’ve already heard and seen a lot of stuff about the return of Ultron and this could be the perfect way to bring him back and still leave the movies open for bigger enemies.
Here’s a few more plausible rumours…
Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt) isn’t happy with Sam (Anthony Mackie) being (Captain) Falcon since he never signed the Sokovia Accords and because of this, John Walker will be put forward to be Cap but will go under the moniker US Agent played by Wyatt Russell (US Agent and Wyatt Russell confirmed).
Here’s your first (concept) look at Russell as US Agent:
This annoys Sam who enlists the help of Bucky Barnes and they together take on more low level crimes, kind of like a friendly neighborhood bird.
Walker is then meant to get a chip implanted in him by Barron Zemo which causes him to go rogue, these chips are apparently also implanted in the entire population (possible virus, good way for the Ultron virus to strike).
Desperate to fix everything, Ross enlists the help of Bucky and Sam to track him down.
There’s also rumors that we may get Chris Evans to return as an old Steve Rogers for at least 2 episodes as well as Yelena Belova (new Black Widow) and Emil Blonsky (The Abomination).
Now, we feel we must add here that Evans, on returning as Steve Rogers, has said this: “It’s not a hard no, but it’s not an eager yes either.
“There are other things that I’m working on right now. I think Cap had such a tricky act to stick the landing, and I think they did a really nice job letting him complete his journey. If you’re going to revisit it, it can’t be a cash grab. It can’t be just because the audience wants to be excited. What are we revealing? What are we adding to the story? A lot of things would have to come together.”
Would this be the way to do that? Anyway, moving on…
Now I was shaking my head at a lot of these but once you sit back and think about it a lot of them could work, US Agent has already been confirmed as well as Yelena Belova who’s already in the upcoming Black Widow movie.
