Hey Rick and Morty fans, guess what? Season four could be a while away yet.
Shocker, amiright?
In a new interview with show writer Ryan Ridley he revealed that the new season, much like the show’s third, is not getting made in any sort of a hurry: “They really take their time,” said Ridley.
“I never understood why everybody — all parties, Dan [Harmon], Justin [Roiland], and Adult Swim — didn’t get their s@#t together, and make the show fast,” he added, ” I just don’t get it. It doesn’t make any sense to me. I’m sure they all have their reasons.”
Ridley says that they haven’t even begun working on the fourth season yet, so don’t be expecting it this year: “Get your s@#t together, you guys.
“Get it all together, and put it in a backpack.”
According to the interview, Adult Swim still haven’t green lit the new series… but all parties are confident it WILL happen.
Heartening.
